Has anyone ever heard of Pearl drums with fiberglass shells?
EOQ Ive heard of fiberglass shells, but not from Pearl. Also carbon fiber which is extremely expensive, 3000$ for a snare. I like the sound of fiberglass, it has almost a warm undertone with a wide dynamic range. Havent heard carbon fiber tho. Read More →
Do you think that a 7-piece pearl drum set would be a good set to learn on?
i have played guitar for awhile and always loved drums. but there’s alot of 5 piece sets. and i want a set with more drums. To have moreexpressionn. would this be a good set to learn on. Listen to drummers like Buddy Rich, Bill Bruford (YES), John Bonham, Will Kennedy. They all play 4 and 5 piece sets. Most people play 4 and 5 piece sets. TAMA drums vs. Pearl Drums?
I love the way Tama drums sound. In my opinion they are louder than Pearls. I currently have a Pearl Forum drumset. I ripped a guy out and sold it to me for 200 bucks lucky me. I have always wanted Tama drums, also because my fav drummer Dave Lombardo uses them. However Lately in the Tama catalog none of the new drumsets atract me. where to get a good pearl drum set?

I have a 7 piece shell set Pearl world series drum kit, and some accesories and cymbals with it, the sets in GREAT condition i just dont use it anymore. Are pearl forum drums professional?
I was wondering if pearl forum drums are professional sounding. I have a five piece pearl forum drum set, and I am going to get an add-on pack to make it an 8 piece double bass, a rack and a nice snare drum and that would my drum set for a very long time.
